American healthcare will continue to deteriorate as long as the present corrupt money driven system remains. Obamacare makes improvements, but is basically more of the same.

Caps on out of pocket expenditures were supposed to go into effect in 2014, but delayed to 2015 due to insurance companies claiming they have computers that cannot communicate with each other for the caps.

If the Out of pocket (OOP) caps ever go into effect, they have to add to insurance company expenses, which will be passed along as higher premiums and deductibles. This delay in implementation of OOP caps was probably due to wanting to bypass the 2014 elections. Read this article link to see the direction things are going in.

The article does not mention the “Cadillac insurance policy” tax due in 2016 that will pressure employers to degrade their policies for employees so as not to be taxed.
